3 assignments handed in today, meaning only 2 left to be in next friday and then a teeny tiny exam and I will be freee! I can see the light and it looks a lot like summer sun!
And to celebrate in the lovely weather we've been having of late, we headed over to Hare of the Dog for a nice relaxing drink. I am definitely PRO PIMMS. Yummy, will be stocking up on tomorrows Morrisons shop, along with lots of fruit to make it all that more exotic.


And now after all that sitting in the sun and cooking burgers on the barbie, I'm all tired and ready for bed. An early start tomorrow considering it's Saturday, decided to make a start on shopping ready for our Canadian adventure, and will follow with drinks on the canal and a well deserved night out. Should be much fun.

So far into this essay writing I have...re-written my question. Added header & footer... Set up phone banking, applied for student finance, called to find out luggage allowance, looked up how to apply for visa weaver to enter the states via land border, and wandered around in my shoes. All productive in their own rights, but not really getting this done. My self set deadline in tomorrow 8.00pm (for ER purposes clearly.) I know I work better under pressure, but come onnn motivation, now's the time to kick in!
Good job I've hidden sewing machine from my sights or I'd have finished making my top by now too.

So the other day I spent the afternoon playing about in the studio rather than the library since Kurt had far more time booked than he needed, so we got messing around with lighting, much fun I don't do it often enough at all.
Hopefully Kurt will send me my photos at some point, will add them when they're edited!

And after spending all afternoon on MSN planning for Canada and New York, I'm abit behind in my schedule for essay writing...time to crack on!

It's been a while, pretty busy pissing around with bits of uni work, working at my usual sloow pace.
I do now have a temporary free-hosted website alexjones.atspace.com, still needs a lot of work, but think that will have to wait until I get back from Canada as it's gunna be rushrushrush until then!

Recent happenings...
Went to Leeds last weekend, a little visit to Jack's, meeting Tom and Matt there as well. We went to his gig with the Young Sergeants, which was only their 3rd gig so think it was pretty good!


Since then I also had a visit from my mum yesterday, had lunch in town and she treated me to a jacket, which was out of stock yesterday, but alas I popped back today and it was in, yay! :) Gosh full price item in Topshop, I do feel extravagant even if I didn't actually pay for it!


Also, big news for me; Tootsie Roll has landed in Selfridges Food Hall! Beckie bought me some the other day, it has taken me 3 days to run out of that bag so I've had to go back for more, eek!

Finally got round to downloading the new Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Metric and Maximo albums - so far so GOOD.

So my camera successfully arrived on Friday, just a day and a half after I bought it! Very impressive. Took it out on a date to the architects dinner last night photographing for them, bit scary, but all practice. Can't wait to get some work out of the way and have a proper snappy snappy practice of general 'thingsss'.


I fear that now I've finally got my paypal working, there will be no end to my bargain searching. Just won a bid on these beauties, so long have I wanted a pair of dreamy Irregular Choice shoes :)
Cannot wait for my darlings to arrive!

Oh dear oh dear, that time again, half way through the day and little progress on the work front.

Yesterday I went for my first jog in Birmingham, yes yes I did indeed. We went through Canon Hill park and beyond, finally finding a few perfect picnic spots with a stream and everything :)

Also ended up at the Rainbow for Naked Lunch and then to the BCU Warehouse party last night, safe to say it was not the most successful of events, so much so that we left after half an hour, thank godness for DJ plus 1's resulting in me not having to pay :) pheeew!

For the first time in ages the sun didn't wake me up this morning, so I had an undeserved lie in, and then spent a good few hours trying to use my Paypal account to purchase a camera off eBay. After much entering and re-entering bank details, trying and failing to login to my internet banking account, ringing for telephone banking, and much stressing, it finally decided to work and I appear to have purchased a Canon 450d + lens + Macro + SD card + bag, for considerably less than I would have in a shop! Fingers crossed it all worked right and there's been no big mix up, just have to hope and wait for it to arrive, eeek! My first actual eBay purchase, perhaps the beginning of something new?

OK, so now will continue to munch through a months worth of cheese & cracker allowance, and try and start some worrrrk!

So. Friday we went to GATECRASSSHER (again), Radio 1's Zane Lowe was DJing so needless to say it was PACKED, had to que for ages despite pre booking tickets. Anyway was a good night, unlike other guest DJ sets, ie. pigeon detectives, he actually did a good job and did a proper set, as you'd expect.

Saturday Beckie, Alex, Siobban and I had a lil BBQ in the back garden, chicken kebabs yummm! Shall be the start of many more to come we hope as the weather gets better. Me and Beckie then tried making a recipe I found in the cooking section of some magazine, they were little chocolate things in the shape of eggs... very pretty. However in typical fashion we did something wrong and they looked more like squishy elephant droppings =/ I blame the 100g of fattyfatty butter we used (as instructed), next time less is definitely more. As with anything containing mountains of chocolate and golden syrup, they still tasted gooood.

Since then I have made and eaten food, and gotten awfully distracted online instead of concentrating on work. Today is no different...
